Exciting opportunity to join the second largest municipality in Melbourne’s metropolitan west. Located about 20 kms from the central business district, Brimbank City Council is culturally diverse.

We are currently seeking a temporary part time staff member to join our team.

The role

We are seeking an Impact Brimbank Program Officer to play a pivotal role in the coordination, planning, implementation and evaluation of a range of activities that aim to tackle persistent health and social challenges, identified as priorities by the local community.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in health promotion, community development, social work, or related discipline and/or demonstrated experience delivering initiatives to support health and wellbeing alongside community.
  • Demonstrated appreciation and understanding of volunteer management models and ability to work alongside community.
  • Ability to implement and document programs and events that engage diverse communities in addressing local priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience maximising community access to programs and events by developing awareness and engagement through promotion, marketing and communication.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships to achieve common goals.
