About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Aged Care Services Team Leader to join our team on a full-time basis. You will support and mentor our support worker team to provide quality care to participants within their own homes and within the Community. This role could suit a qualified and experienced aged care support worker looking to take a step into a leadership role.

This exciting opportunity entails:

  • Lead a team of 20-30 dedicated and passionate support workers who provide a wide range of in-home care services around the Capital Region.
  • Provide coaching, leadership, and direction to the team with the purpose of achieving exceptional customer service to our valued community based participants.
  • Lead your team remotely and onsite working in a fast-paced, ever-changing and positive environment.
  • Ensure our employees are developed at all stages including recruitment, induction, buddy shifts, and actively support and train in safety and well-being initiatives.
  • Mentor your team, drive positive change, ensure compliance and innovation to deliver exceptional outcomes for your team and our participants.

Our Idea candidate will:

  • Have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships, promote services and resolve client/staff issues
  • Have optimistic outlook with strong initiative, sound integrity and accountability with a focus on person-centred practice
  • Have a demonstrated empathetic and flexible approach to manage the sensitivities of client and employee issues
  • Time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks
  • Proven team leadership experience (of up to 25 people+) within the customer service, and community care or similar industry
  • Demonstrated experience with coaching and performance managing frontline teams
  • Knowledge of manual handling principles with the ability to train others
  • Working knowledge of service provision, allocation and compliance with contractual obligations
  • Stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant qualifications (or equivalent experience) in Leadership plus Training and Assessment are desirable

Special Position Requirements

  • CRCS requires all workers to maintain full COVID-19 vaccination currency and provide evidence of their vaccinations to CRCS (sensitive information is kept private and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles) unless they are able to provide suitable evidence of a medical contraindication that prevents them from receiving this vaccine.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continual learning and professional development.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum Certificate III in Aged or Community Services (or relevant field)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Hold a current Driver’s Licence and have access to a roadworthy, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes
