About the Role

Do you live and breathe social media? Can you produce engaging content and bring compelling stories to life through a variety of media channels? Do you excel at developing and executing coordinated social campaigns aimed at increasing user acquisition and engagement rates? Responsible for the coordination and day-to-day execution of media-based marketing functions, this role will play an integral part in our expansion into the greater capital region. It's the perfect opportunity for a social media officer, or equivalent, to step up and really own the role of trusted specialist for all things social media-related.

The ideal candidate embraces a fast-paced work environment and is interested in supporting the capital region by promoting a wide range of community-related services. A working understanding of social media and major networks is required, as is a sense of curiosity and a “can-do” attitude. The successful candidate will be an organised, thoughtful communicator and interested in learning more about marketing methodologies beyond the social media space.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the CRCS social channels to increase brand awareness, drive traffic, and obtain leads
  • Drive our digital content engine – formulate a media calendar and create compelling content in various formats (ads, posts, blogs, videos, podcasts, etc.)
  • Provide input into the overarching CRCS Marketing Plan by helping to develop a robust social media strategy
  • Coordinate and execute internal and external media-based communication functions. This includes, but not limited to, website copy, newsletters, flyers, public relations, and the annual report

Abilities and skills:

  • Demonstrable social media experience
  • Excellent communication and demonstrated writing skills within the social media environment and beyond
  • Experience in using social media scheduling tools - such as Facebook Business Manager or Content Studio
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Experience in running paid social media advertising campaigns

Desired, but not essential:

  • Content creation skills - video, photography, and photo editing skills
  • Experienced user of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Direct Mail Creation and Management – such as Mail Chimp

Special Requirements:

This position will be required to undertake frequent travel within the Capital Region. The incumbent must have a current Driver’s License and have access to a roadworthy, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes.
