About the Role:

The purpose of the Service Engagement and Operations department is to deliver evidenced-based services at scale to manage and prevent common mental health conditions and suicide in workplaces, schools, health settings and the wider community. Services include digital products and platforms, training, resources, and consultancy. To ensure sustainable growth, the Service Engagement and Operations Department leads the development and continuous improvement of resourcing, systems and processes to manage delivery of services at scale. The purpose of this position is to increase engagement with Black Dog Institute’s mental health and wellbeing training, products and services primarily across healthcare, schools, workplace, and community settings.

Key Duties:

Promotion & Relationship Management

  • Proactively identify and approach potential clients, qualify leads, close sales.
  • Promote BDI services via client meetings, attendance at relevant conferences and networking events, EDMs, flyers, website updates, and external advertisements.
  • Identify, establish and maintain relationships with relevant internal stakeholders (research, clinic, corporate functions).
  • Create and maintain strategic business relationships with external stakeholders, professional partners, client organisations and accrediting bodies.

Program Delivery

  • Respond to training enquiries from clients, establishing scope of work and objectives, generating training proposals and quotations in accordance with established templates and pricing structures.
  • Working closely with the Operations and Marcomms teams, manage program promotion, event delivery and invoicing.
  • Work closely with the Research and Development team to customise and contextualise program content as appropriate for clients
  • Project manage key grants, contracts and programs to ensure deliverables and reporting requirements are met – engaging with internal stakeholders.

Planning & Reporting

  • Contribute to formulation and implementation of Education Team strategic, operational and business plans, budgets and unit procedures.
  • Contribute to reports on education programs and activity for the Board and Annual Report; fulfil reporting requirements to external funding bodies.
  • Assist in Identifying funding opportunities and contribute to grant and funding applications; manage funded projects and partner agreements as required.

About You:

The successful candidate will have the following:

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Business, Psychology, Management, Marketing or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent networking, consultation, liaison and negotiation skills, with proven ability to identify and establish new business.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and all aspects of program delivery to deadline and budget/targets.
  • Experience in operating within a high-volume sales environment that focus on Consultative Sales Approach.

Desirable Criteria

  • Relevant experience in mental health and/or the primary health sector
