About the Role:

This position sits within the Education team. The Education Team is responsible for the delivery of accredited training programs to health professionals, and non-accredited training to workplaces and community groups.

The purpose of this position is to increase engagement of workplaces with Black Dog Institute’s workplace mental health and wellbeing training, products and services.

Key Duties:

  • Proactively identify and approach potential clients, qualify leads, close sales.
  • Promote BDI education programs through presentations to clients/partners, attendance at networking events, conferences and related events.
  • Identify, establish and maintain relationships with relevant internal stakeholders (research, clinic, corporate functions)
  • Creating and maintaining strategic business relationships with external stakeholders, professional partner and client organisations.
  • Respond to training enquiries from clients, establishing scope of work and objectives, generating training proposals and quotations in accordance with established templates and pricing structures.
  • With the support of administration, manage program promotion, event delivery and invoicing
  • Contribute to formulation and implementation of Education Team strategic, operational and business plans, budgets and unit procedures.
  • Contribute to reports on education programs and activity for the Board and Annual Report; fulfil reporting requirements to external funding bodies.
  • Assist in Identifying funding opportunities and contribute to grant and funding applications; manage funded projects and partner agreements as required

About You:

The successful candidate will have the following:

Essential Criteria

  1. Degree in Business, Psychology, Management, Marketing or related discipline
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  3. Excellent networking, consultation, liaison and negotiation skills, with proven ability to identify and establish new business.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and all aspects of program delivery to deadline and budget/targets.
  5. Proven ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a team member.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  7. Experience in operating within a high-volume sales environment that focus on Consultative Sales Approach.
  8. High level computer literacy across MS Office suite and other CRM based programs.
  9. A knowledge of EEO principles and OH&S responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant OH&S training.
