Beacon Foundation (“Beacon”) seeks to better support young people to successfully transition from education to meaningful employment. We do this by bringing together business, industry, schools and the wider community to build real life education experiences. These experiences support young people to be ready for the future world of work.

We are on the search for a strategic go-getter to drive our marketing and communications activity. We are looking for someone who will take on strategy development, execution and evaluation of internal and external communications and marketing across Beacon. We want someone who will get in and do some of the work – writing, design, content create and/or development, if that is your thing then we would love to hear from you.

About the role:

In this role, you will develop, execute and evaluate effective marketing and communication activity that will lift the profile of the Beacon Brand and ultimately create greater impact for young people. You will develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all of Beacon’s operations and have the job of sharing this story to a range of external and internal audiences.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • A tertiary degree in communications, marketing or journalism is considered valuable
  • At least 5 years’ experience successfully developing, implementing and evaluating communications, marketing and brand strategies
  • Outstanding written, editorial and verbal communication skills with substantial experience writing high quality content and documents for a range of audiences.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, responsive and flexible in an environment with time pressures and multiple priorities
  • Proven track record in developing a broad spectrum of proactive media relations campaigns and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in the effective use of marketing automation solutions (e.g Pardot) will be highly regarded

Based in Hobart, this a permanent, full time position with five weeks’ annual leave, employee assistance program and generous salary packaging under our PBI status in addition to training and a competitive market salary.
