Beam is proud to be partnering with First Australians Capital to find amazing talent for this fabulous role!
We only work on flexible, career-worthy jobs and believe this one is a great opportunity for an experienced Business Relationships Manager who wants to work for an authentic, passionate and purpose-driven organisation.
This is what First Australians Capital has to say about the role…
Key behaviours and values
At First Australians Capital we believe in a more just and prosperous Australia.
These values underpin how we behave, why we do what we do, who we are today and where we want to be tomorrow. Each value builds to our aspiration of a better tomorrow.
Through curiosity, optimism, entrepreneurial spirit, community and enthusiasm we create a culture where ideas flourish and we work together to create a new economy driven by First Australians.
The Business Relationship Manager is responsible for delivering the enterprise capacity building program and working with Indigenous Businesses pre and post access to capital.
The role has a focus on business planning, financial management and forecasting, accountability and communications. In addition, the role is responsible for coordinating the procurement of strategic and operational accounting, marketing, legal and HR activities for the Indigenous businesses we support.
At FAC, we believe CAPACITY building is all about providing practical, relevant advice as well as rolling our sleeves up and lending a hand.
You will have a broad range of skills in operating small to medium-sized enterprises, preferably having run your own business. You may also have experience in the not-for-profit sector.
You will need exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a sound understanding and experience working with Indigenous people.
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or equivalent life experience.
As a registered charity with PBI status, First Australians Capital is able to offer employees the option to salary package a portion of their wages.
You may choose to package a range of items, such as your mortgage, rent, school tuition fees, private health insurance or even a personal loan repayment, or everyday living expenses including groceries, clothing and utility bills.
You can package up to the allowable maximum of $15,900 each FBT year.
If you choose to package your salary (it is an option) money is deducted from your salary pre-tax. You pay tax only on the remaining portion of your salary not the salary packaged money, significantly reducing the income tax you pay
