Our programs include Therapeutic Intensive Residential Care, Intensive Family Preservation, Therapeutic Foster Care, Restoration, and other associated care types, we are a registered NDIS provider and operate a social enterprise Maintenance and repairs business. The Role

Reporting to the Executive Director of Therapeutic Programs, the Casework Manager will manage a small and passionate team of casework staff including residential and Family Preservation Caseworkers and Support Staff. This is a 9-month contract.

As Casework Manager you will:

  • Manage and provide leadership to casework staff across a number of therapeutic programs
  • Ensure quality casework practices are being followed and caseworkers are provided with training and resources to ensure this
  • Administrative duties including the regular auditing of case files and record-keeping
  • Assist with the development and improvement of Casework Operations Manuals
  • Mentor, supervise, and guide caseworkers
  • Ensure risk management assessments and safety plans are completed
  • Maintain knowledge of DCJ Permanency Policy, restoration, guardianship, and adoption processes
  • Lead a positive team culture

Your Skills and Attributes

  • Diploma and/or bachelor’s in social science, Social Work or relevant experience and qualifications
  • Experience in Out-of-Home Care casework or Child Protection management experience
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Advanced Computer literacy
  • A clear understanding of acts and regulations
  • Strong leadership skills
  • High-level literacy
  • Knowledge of childhood trauma
  • Must be vaccinated with booster
