Kidney Health Australia (KHA) is the national peak body for kidney disease and a profit for purpose organisation dedicated to providing valued, sustained programs that empower and improve the lives of people affected by kidney disease. KHA is a close-knit and passionate organisation caring for the Kidney Community throughout Australia.

This exciting role is an integral part of the Fundraising team. The Community Fundraising Manager is responsible for the management and growth of revenue and engagement of all community fundraising activities to support the important work of KHA.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor and deliver three year community fundraising strategy
  • Manage all digital events solutions to generate and increase additional income
  • Manage, deliver and execute flagship KHA events including, Kidney Kar Rally and Red Socks Appeal
  • Lead and mentor the Donor Care Coordinator and KHA team in community fundraising
  • Secure new business partnerships/sponsorships to support National events
  • Identify opportunities to engage the staff of corporate partners in community fundraising activities within existing corporate partner networks
  • Increase community fundraising events and participant portfolio
  • Promote and manage third party event participation (eg. Bridge to Brisbane, City2Surf)
  • Develop and implement stewardship framework of all community fundraisers
  • General administration and assistance to the whole team as required

Skills and Attributes

  • Previous experience leading a significant community fundraising program
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising campaign delivery including community fundraising, major events and donor journeys
  • Exceptional analytical skills with proven ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Previous budget management skills
  • Demonstrated results in donor/customer acquisition and retention
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking
  • Strong understanding of donor/customer relationship management databases
  • Ability to work flexible hours inclusive of weekends as required
