Reporting directly to the National Director, you will have the responsibility of ensuring ongoing income growth and integration of Fundraising across the organisation with oversight of a diverse portfolio which includes Individual Giving, Philanthropy and Bequests.

This key senior leadership role will accelerate the growth of Fundraising nationally and will deliver continuous, sustainable income growth through the development and successful implementation of a holistic Fundraising strategy.

This crucial role will ensure that Amnesty International Australia inspire, recruit, and retain committed donors and supporters who share their vision and determination to protect and defend people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic oversight of the national Fundraising strategy; ensuring that Amnesty International Australia continue to develop a multi-channel sustainable approach to Fundraising
  • Work with the wider international Amnesty networks to gain further insight on Fundraising trends and practices, driving a culture of Fundraising innovation and trial and test across the organisation
  • Reporting into the National Director and the board, report on Fundraising results and budgets
  • Develop and lead a results-focused supporter and donor centric approach to Fundraising
  • Build on a broad Fundraising portfolio which includes Regular Giving, Single Giving, Philanthropy and Bequests
  • Provide inspiring and effective support, mentoring and coaching to direct reports and the broader national team
  • As a data led decision maker, ensure that we are working to best practice retention and engagement strategies that continue to provide growth across the Individual Giving programme
  • Oversee the Philanthropy division who lead on the strategy for developing new, long-term relationships with key funders to include Trusts and Foundations, Corporate, Bequestors and Major Donors
  • Ensure the appropriate structures, people, processes, and systems are in place to achieve ongoing growth
  • Set, manage and monitor the operational budgets across Fundraising

Skills

  • Experienced Fundraising leader with experience in building and implementing multi-channel Fundraising strategies to achieve significant growth
  • A technical background in multi-channel Fundraising to include Regular and Single giving and Philanthropy
  • A proven, passionate, and inspiring leader who can motivate high performing teams and build a strong culture across a national team
  • A data led Fundraiser with experience in building supporter centric programmes
  • Successful development and management of million-dollar expenditure budgets and financial reporting experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior management team, with the ability to influence across an organisation and contribute to wider strategic decision making
  • Highest levels of communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion and commitment to Amnesty International Australia’s mission and vision to campaign courageously for human rights for everyone
