About the role

The Donor Programs Coordinator is responsible for coordination and implementation of the donor programs, focusing primarily on individual, regular giving and appeals. They will work to build upon the customer donor journey to improve donor retention and identify opportunities for acquisition of one-off and long-term giving donors.

Reporting to the Communications & Engagement Manager, the Donor Programs Coordinator will take lead on coordination three annual appeals end to end, support in building donor journeys, will regularly report on fundraising results and be great at building relationships and engaging with donors to maximise lead generations activity.

This role will suit someone who thrives working in a small team, enjoys variety and wants to be exposed to a broad range of fundraising programs. You will have the opportunity to be heavily involved in building and implementing a fundraising strategy whilst also having real ownership of your role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, implementation and management of unique programs for each donor segment within Donor Programs
  • Provide end-to-end customer service for donor programs through a range of channels
  • Manage personalised appeals to acquire new donors and improve retention including, story sourcing, copywriting, design coordination, print and digital distribution, acquisition, measurement and reporting and liaison with external agencies
  • Grow and shape donor journeys that retain and engage supporters
  • Manage and regularly report on Donor Programs to demonstrate progress in line with a planned budget and timeframes
  • Maintain database and ensure details are kept up-to-date and all communications are recorded accurately
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver Donor Programs
  • Maintain relationships with Major Donors and Bequestors with the ability to and prospect new leads
  • Liaise with the fundraising and marketing teams and participate in company events as required

Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience working in a fundraising role ideally donor services
  • Strong communications and copywriting skills
  • Experience establishing frameworks for donor journeys is advantageous
  • Ability to identify potential leads and implement new ideas
  • Experience managing a customer database with the ability to analyse and segment data effectively
  • Highly motivated team player with a small team mindset
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Fundraisin, Campaign Monitor, Canva and Microsoft office programs is recommended
