About the role

The Executive Assistant will be a key partner to their executive who manages the Legal, Governance and Risk function within a large for-purpose organisation supporting vulnerable communities across New South Wales.

In addition to providing sophisticated, executive-level support, this role will support ongoing strategic projects. Building strong internal relationships will be a focus in this role, in order to facilitate communications and workflow between the immediate team and broader stakeholders across the organisation.

  • Schedule a busy diary, coordinating internal/external meetings – prioritising and managing workload on behalf of the executive.
  • Coordinate a wide variety of meetings from leadership team forums chaired by the executive to more general team meetings.
  • Be key administrative support for business planning, deliverables and reporting for the division, proactively gathering documentation and reports where possible to successfully meet deadlines.
  • Support the creation and submission of information, requests, reports, briefings, and related documents on behalf of the executive.
  • Collaborate closely with the Assistant Company Secretary to support Board meeting administration and coordination as needed.
  • Ad hoc travel to different office locations across Sydney will sometimes be required for this role.

The successful candidate

The successful candidate is a natural collaborator, and communicator and thrives in a dynamic environment. They will be commercially minded and agile amidst competing priorities in a fast-paced team.

  • Proven experience in an executive support role supporting senior leadership in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as the aptitude to build relationships and effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong coordination, organisation and time management skills – with the ability to oversee multiple projects and timelines successfully, without losing attention to detail.
  • A high level of discretion and confidentiality when accessing sensitive information.
  • Advanced proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite and other software applications (workflow automation/technology transformation experience will be highly regarded).
  • Tertiary level qualifications in a relevant area such as business administration.

The successful candidate must successfully undergo a National Police Check.
