About the Role

An exciting opportunity to manage the successful delivery and growth of the grants and submissions funding channel, obtaining new funds via Grants, Trusts, Foundations, Philanthropic Funds, Tenders, Submissions and more.

This role takes responsibility for the end-to-end grants process including prospect research, project planning, written development and internal administration (including acquittals) of all funding submissions. The role will also build relationships with funders, Members of Parliament and local community organisers and leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • With real autonomy, manage the strategy to grow and develop the Grants program for this beloved charity
  • Producing, writing, editing and proofreading engaging submissions
  • Developing an annual calendar of project and program deliverables, as prioritised according to the 3-year strategic plan, to ensure submission key dates and deadlines are met
  • Researching and developing a priority target list of new funding opportunities
  • Researching market behaviour and analysing key insights to enhance delivery
  • Ensure acquittal reports are prepared and submitted in accordance with funding agreements
  • Managing key relationships with relevant funding bodies including, but not limited to, Government, industry, commercial and community stakeholders
  • Providing support and guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure quality delivery and compliance
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to secure key content to meet eligibility criteria and deadlines

Skills and experience

  • Experience in Trusts and Foundations/ Grant and/or Submissions Management
  • Proven track record in end-to-end grant management from prospect research to acquittal
  • Background in generating revenue from a variety of sources such as government, PAFs, trusts etc
  • Understanding of the NSW funding landscape
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a small team
  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate, be persuasive, develop trust and maintain effective working relationships
  • Confidently write in a clear, articulate and compelling manner
  • Confidently able to present to small audiences
