About the role

In this role, you will work as part of the senior leadership team, while reporting to the Director of Governance Risk & Quality. Responsible for leading a small team dedicated to all aspects of quality and service improvement across all program lines in a large, diverse and complex service organisation.

In a relational-focused role you will create influence and capability across key projects and initiatives across all aspects of the organisation.

key responsibilities will include:

  • The ongoing development and maintenance of best practice organisational Quality Management Framework that governs the quality management architecture.
  • Actively assisting service stream leaders to develop and evaluate quality systems and processes in accordance with the quality management framework.
  • Managing internal policy framework, including process, tools, consultation requirements and approval processes.
  • Lead business improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance and progress efficiency.
  • Enhancing and monitoring a whole of organisation (continuous improvement) system for recording and tracking actions from comments and complaints, employee feedback, internal audits, external audits and Regulator feedback/direction.
  • Working closely with IT, Communications and key operational colleagues to enhance and maintain the Document Management System (DMS) architecture and promote organisational compliance with DMS requirements.
  • Working closely with operational services and Risk and Assurance to ensure that the organisation meets accreditation/licensing requirements and is prepared for external accreditation/licensing reviews and audits.

About you

To have success in this role you will have a collaborative and confident approach to your work, with an ability to lead complex projects whilst remaining service lead. Bringing demonstrated senior management capabilities in leading quality functions across large and complex services. You’ll also have:

  • Deep knowledge of concepts and principles in the area of quality management and evidence-based practice across the diverse community, human or health services
  • Post Graduate and/or Bachelor's qualification in a relevant business field
  • Strong strategic leadership capabilities, with experience in leading and implementing change and driving service quality improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analysis, and strategically assess information and data
  • High-quality written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced skills in navigating a complex organisation, with proven results in building effective and professional relationships with stakeholders
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo a National Criminal Record Check, along with WWCC and be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
