If you are have experience in Not-For-Profit and are passionate about meeting new people, developing lasting relationships and making meaningful connections then this is the role for you. As Philanthropy Executive you will build on an existing portfolio of donors across NSW and ACT and will take the lead in nurturing relationships, working with a wider national team to deliver ambitious revenue goals.

About the role

You will support the growth of the national philanthropy programme by building and maintaining relationships with both existing donors and potential supporters, taking responsibility for revenue growth across NSW and ACT.

The Philanthropy Executive will have experience securing gifts above $10,000. You will take a considered approach to existing donors and you will be excited to forge new relationships. You will tell the JDRF story of accomplishments, inspiring donors to support this great mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Steward and maintain existing relationships with donors, building a robust donor base to achieve income targets while delivering exceptional donor experiences
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline using prospect research tools to develop potential new connections
  • Compose engaging, bold and compelling proposals for donors that highlight program and research achievements
  • Build effective donor communication strategies and ensure a seamless donor journey experience
  • Personally solicit gifts
  • Meticulous tracking of relationships and activity within Salesforce
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new income generation strategies

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in relationship management in Not-For-Profit, ideally Major Gifts
  • A track record of working towards and exceeding financial targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills including the ability to establish rapport, motivate people and communicate articulately and with passion
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills and a proactive approach
  • Engaging and professional with the ability to communicate with senior level stakeholders
  • Accountable, responsible, and driven individual with sound judgement and problem-solving capabilities who can work autonomously and as a member of a wider team
