Working in partnership with hospitals and research units, this renowned foundation raises much needed funds to provide quality patient care and drive medical research to find solutions to real world community health problems.

Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy and working with the broader philanthropy team, this vital role will be support on for the development and delivery of the foundation’s Major Gifts program. The role will be responsible for the relationship management of a wide range of stakeholders within partner hospitals and medical research institutions.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy this role looks after the development and delivery of a patient-centred fundraising program. Your focus is to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders to cultivate and solicit gifts from grateful patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development, delivery, and management of a patient-centred fundraising program
  • Deliver training and collaborate with healthcare staff, clinicians, and researchers to promote the Foundation’s philanthropy programs
  • Support the overall philanthropic strategy of the Foundation to achieve targets
  • Build and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and develop strong and sustainable relationships with these individuals
  • Prepare proposals, solicitation letters and cultivation collateral for major gift prospects and donors
  • Manage the major gift donor journey and communication plan across the program, as well as identify areas for continuous improvement and optimization

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills with the ability to establish long-term and meaningful relationships both internally and externally
  • Exceptional communication & negotiation skills with strong influential capabilities and the experience to deliver a training program
  • Relevant experience in philanthropy, development, and donor relations
  • Experience developing a donor program
  • Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build support and commitment for projects
  • Strong organisational skills, highly detail-oriented, committed to excellence, and a proven ability to establish and realise goals in a fast-paced environment
