The organisation is looking for an outcome focused individual to join the Property team which facilitates the management of the organisation's properties and assets across NSW, ACT & NT.

The role:

The Property Service Officer is responsible for the timely action of property operational tasks and requests received from District Managers within their regional portfolio. With volunteers at the heart of the organisation, it is essential in this role that you deliver excellent customer service in every interaction.

Further responsibilities:

  • Prioritise, monitor and action incoming property requests – communicating feedback to Districts on the status and expected completion of tasks
  • Liaise with contractors, trades, consultants, government departments, councils, as need be, to help resolve matters relating to Girl Guides’ properties
  • Document and report any urgent requirements which may be a safety concern, and ensure escalation to the appropriate parties
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in your allocated regional portfolio by providing excellent customer service
  • Identify areas for improvement with workflow – and assist in development/roll-out of initiatives for operational improvement

The successful candidate will have:

A commitment and passion for customer service with a process improvement mindset. They will be detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and results-driven, and be able to build respectful and helpful working relationships with stakeholders.

  • Experience with customer service, ideally from a WHS, property management or maintenance environment
  • An understanding of compliance requirements and lease issues – as well as ability to identify and action WH&S issues, and ensure WH&S compliance
  • Strong time management - be able to manage a high volume of requests and documentation without losing attention to detail
  • High level communication - ability to liaise with internal/external stakeholders
  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline are desirable (or qualifications by experience in a similar role)
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, ability to pick up different databases/software
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted in line with the requirements of the position and include a Working with Children Check, a National Police Check and two Referee Checks
