About the opportunity:

As Senior Clinician, you will help provide clinical leadership and guidance across a small specialised allied health team in the area of behaviour support. Supporting the internal learning and development framework for the team in the areas of clinical support, alongside carrying a small caseload with below industry KPI levels.

The position will work closely with the Allied Health Manager to promote clinical excellence and quality standards for the organisation.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with a range of internal and external stakeholders across the behaviour support service to ensure people with complex behaviour support requirements are provided with the support and skills they need to manage their behaviours and achieve their goals.
  • Ensuring people receive tailored services that are individualised, person-centred and strength-based in line with the values and principles of positive behaviour support
  • Working as part of a customer-centric model to develop, implement and review behaviour support plans and behaviour management strategies with customers, family, carers and their service providers.
  • Collaboratively work with the Allied Health Manager to ensure excellence in service delivery in behaviour support

A bit about you

To have success in the role you will be passionate about working with and making an impact in the area of positive behaviour support practice. You will also have:

  • Tertiary Allied Health Qualification - Social Work, OT, Psychology, Speech Therapy with current registration with a relevant peak body.
  • Experience working with people with a disability who may have a range of complex and challenging behaviours, with an understanding of the NDIS
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the development and implementation of behavioural intervention strategies, risk management strategies and skills development plans
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team, with demonstrated experience or a willingness to mentor and guide a small team
  • Ability to build and maintain strong and respectful relationships
  • Have strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal along with good computer literacy skills.
  • Hold an unrestricted driver's licence and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes. As well as being open to undertaking pre-employment checks
