Role Summary

This role will form part of a global team where you will work together to provide an exceptionally seamless experience for potential and current donors. You will act as the primary point of contact via phone and email, responding to all queries and resolving any issues that arise.

As the Supporter Care Executive, you will also be responsible for managing the database, supporting with gift processing and other ad hoc administrative duties.

About You

You will place the donors at the very heart of your role, ensuring they receive first-class donor experience end to end. Donors are the lifeblood of the organisation and you will make sure they know it!

As this role is home based you will be self-motivated, full of drive and confident to work independently and remotely. Strong attention and detail and accuracy is also very essential to ensure the team are compliant with mandatory regulations across different countries.

Most importantly to be successful you must have a genuine passion for animals and be willing to build relationships effortlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact, answering the phone and responding to emails and letters
  • Work collaboratively across a global team to ensure supporter enquiries are handled to the highest standard and promptly
  • Keep up to date with programme activities and news from across the organisation to ensure you can provide informed supporter communications
  • Handle difficult or distressed supporters in a sensitive and skilled manner, displaying empathy
  • Monitor supporter feedback to provide insight to the wider team to inform new initiatives and increase retention
  • Inspire supporters to retain or upgrade their financial support using a range of
    telemarketing or negotiation techniques to maximise long term donor numbers
  • Accurate maintenance of relevant supporter information in the database
  • Assist the Gift Processing with donation processing

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent experience in quality supporter / customer service / telemarketing / face-to-face fundraising / sales / call centre or similar
  • Experience in telephone programs, both inbound and outbound calls desirable
  • High level of communication skills with a warm, polite and professional manner
  • Excellent listening and negotiation skills
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills
  • Solution focused and a “can do” attitude
  • Interest in working in the Not-For-Profit sector passionate about animal welfare and/or conservation
