In the role you will:

  • Establish and maintain a mental health service delivery model in accordance with the model guidelines
  • Lead a team of support coordinators to deliver a trauma-informed, psychosocial support service by assertive outreach aligned to the program
  • Establish and develop partnerships and collaborative relationships with service providers and agencies which effectively support the ongoing development of better responses and support for those affected by suicide.
  • Adhere to the organisation’s Quality Management System including the implementation of quality systems and principles of continuous quality improvement
  • Actively promote Work, Health, Safety and Rehabilitation policies, practices and procedures

To have success in the role

You will be passionate about working within the mental health space, dedicated to making a difference and a resilient leader who can collaborate with others.

You will also have;

  • TAFE or Degree qualification applicable to the delivery of non-clinical psychosocial support services
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a multidisciplinary team, including support coordinators delivering outreach based psychosocial support to people who have attempted suicide or in suicidal crisis
  • Comprehensive understanding of the key issues in relation the health, mental health and social wellbeing needs of people who experience suicide and their families and support people
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing quality improvement, accreditation, service governance and risk management processes
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with, establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of people
  • Skilled in the use of computers/software including client management and data systems and Microsoft programs
