Role summary

As a Youth Program Facilitator, you will be support students to find success post-graduation through continuous mentoring, support, and check-ins.

You will foster relationships with program participants, mentors volunteering their time as well as educational partners in this varied role.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload, facilitating career sessions with students and program participants
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with students, providing relevant information and guidance relating to post-graduating pathways
  • Maintain professional and productive relationships with educational partners, mentors, and stakeholders
  • Facilitate, recruit, and induct and on-board mentors to support participants in the program
  • Ensure accurate and thorough records keeping and database management pertaining to your caseload

Essential criteria and success factors of the role:

You will have proven experience working directly with young people, be highly organised and have a solutions-focused mindset in the face of competing priorities.

  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – be able to facilitate presentations with clarity and confidence
  • Be tech-savvy and proficient across the Microsoft Office suite as well as working with CRMs
  • Ability to problem-solve, find solutions, and demonstrate initiative
  • Strong collaborative spirit, be a team player as well as being able to work autonomously
  • Experience working directly with young people, community engagement, events or program coordination will be highly regarded
