About the Program

Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is an intensive, evidence-based family and community-based intervention focused on supporting young people aged 10-17 years who are at risk of or who have just entered out of home care. This holistic, preventative model has been evolving with over 35 years of research focussing on the promotion of prosocial behaviours by not only engaging the young person, but also their networks to assist with lasting behavioural changes.

The Opportunity

The MST Clinical Supervisor manages the planning, implementation and administration of the MST model. Working closely with and supervising a small team of 4 professionals, this position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of this model is conveyed, preserved and driven for success with strong supporting evidence for acquittal purposes.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Clinical and administrative supervision for therapists on team;
  • Liaising with key collaborating agencies and with leadership inside the provider organisation;
  • Conducting and supervising multisystemic assessments with young people and their families/care givers;
  • Providing ongoing evaluation and staff development for MST Practitioners.

About You

You will have:

  • A Masters in Psychology, Social Work or related subject matter;
  • Previous supervisory and leadership experience in a similar role;
  • Demonstrable expertise in family systems theory and interventions including behavioural and cognitive behavioural therapies;
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with significant experience in therapeutic settings.

This role needs to be available to participate in and support MST Practitioners with a 24/7 On call roster with backup from other agency supervisory staff and MST Consultants.
