About the role:

In this opportunity you will be working directly with the Juvenile Justice system, you will work to improve relationships between Young People, their families and other significant people in their lives. You will provide practical case work support to young people supervised by Youth Justice to assist them in achieving their goals. This is a permanent full-time role, based in Campbelltown, NSW and involves travel for outreach work across South West and Western Sydney.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Effective service delivery to clients to support the best outcomes by advocating for youth
  • Establishing strong network links with local services, establishing strong network links with local services and Youth Justice staff
  • Adhering to guidelines, specifications, benchmarks and organisational policies and procedures with funding body programming
  • Meeting individual needs of the client by providing a case plan that is developed with the client
  • Ensuring client documentation, reports and statistical Information are well maintained and up to date
  • Ensuring professional development by attending relevant training, forums, courses and other professional development activities as agreed with the Manager
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of the program by assisting with policies, procedures, and work practices, promoting better practices and maintaining high-quality service delivery
  • Contribute to the safety culture by keeping the workplace safe, clean and tidy, always complying with safe work practices

About you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, e.g. Social Work degree, Counselling, Psychology
  • Minimum 3 years case management or counselling experience with a strong focus on young people
  • Previous experience in networking with other organisations to achieve positive client outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level computer skills including excel and data entry
  • Previous experience in delivering group programs
