We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our team in Wadeye NT, providing leadership, support, coaching and mentoring to the team across the programs.

At CatholicCare NT, we've empowered individuals, couples, families and children at 20 locations across the Territory and the APY Lands for the last 25 years. Our not-for-profit organisation has grown to over 250 team members delivering important programs and services such as counselling, housing, mental health and domestic violence support.

Our Wadeye office offers AOD counselling and group work, parenting and mental health programs, family and domestic violence services and financial wellbeing and capability support.

Your role

As a Team Leader at CatholicCare NT Wadeye office, you'll be responsible for the implementation, leadership, and integration of multiple programs, which includes Children and Parenting, Community Mental Health, Alcohol and other drugs counselling and group work, Financial Wellbeing and Capability. You'll feel a sense of accomplishment leading and mentoring staff members in your program, providing them with motivation and development opportunities. You'll oversee and contribute to the delivery of direct services, building your own skills working with participants with complex needs. You'll enjoy collaborating with various stakeholders and constantly be evaluating your program's effectiveness.

What we are looking for

  • Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Welfare Studies or equivalent with substantial experience in the area of expertise.
  • Minimum five years' experience in relevant practice and team leadership.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with managers, staff and stakeholders across a range of diverse cultural groups and settings.
  • Experience in providing supervision to multi-disciplinary staff.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous people.

WADEYE

The Northern Territory is one of the most culturally diverse places in the world. Wadeye is the largest indigenous community in the Northern Territory.
