Launch Housing is a secular Melbourne-based community organisation that provides homelessness services and life-changing housing supports to disadvantages Victorians. With over 400 staff working across 13 locations, we want to end homelessness and are committed to creating lasting societal change to help those most in need in our community. In a country as wealthy as ours no one should be homeless.

How you'll make an impact on the community

Reporting to the After Hours Coordinator, you will have the ability to juggle competing demands in a crisis setting, working with people with significant issues requiring support - such as AOD, mental health, trauma, disability and homelessness. You will also maintain the effective running of the accommodation by maintaining the security and responding to critical incidents and breaches.

Who you are

Our expectations from you to succeed in this role:

  • Tertiary qualification and/or direct experience in the delivery of crisis and support services
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and external services to achieve quality client outcomes
  • Understanding of homelessness and the issues affecting people experiencing homelessness
  • A positive team work approach as well as the ability work autonomously
