Body Safety Australia is Victoria's largest provider of evidence-based primary prevention programs. We are committed to promoting childhoods free from violence where children enjoy equitable and respectful relationships

We deliver in class workshops to:

  • Children and young people in early childhood education, primary schools and secondary schools
  • Parents and carers
  • Professional learning for teachers and education staff

OuR programs

Body Safety Australia delivers a suite of programs to help prevent harm and increase child wellbeing. These include:

  • Body Safety Superstars - preventing childhood sexual abuse
  • Unique You - respectful relationships and sexuality education
  • Naked Truths - respectful relationships and consent education
  • eSafety education
  • Over the Rainbow - LGBTIQA+ inclusion
  • Imagine Me - Promoting positive body image
  • Gender Glorious - Gender equity and inclusion

WE’RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO:

  • Have qualifications in education, psychology, youth services or other related fields
  • Are passionate about the primary prevention education with a deep understanding of the critical issues associated with gendered violence such as gender inequality, consent and entitlement
  • Are excellent communicators with presentation and/or performance experience
  • Are able to meet adult concerns with empathy while providing evidence to support their children's wellbeing
  • Have the ability to adapt presentations 'on the fly' to meet the unique needs of students
  • Have a full driver's licence and car
  • Have the flexibility to deliver workshops during the school day and with parents after hours
  • Have a current Working with Children Check and agree to undergo a police check

Terms:

This is an ongoing and paid (per event) contractual position
Pay rates start at $80 per hourly session

Full training will be provided at our Preston office. Our team meet once a term to share further professional learning and peer support.
