To provide week-end overnight and additional week day-time support for this family of an infant living at home with a tracheostomy, we are seeking an experienced AIN or Support Worker (or 2) to cover on-going, indefinite, respite services for 5 hours a day on Tuesday and Friday (times dependent on his itinerary of appointments, etc) plus 10 hour waking night duties on Friday and Saturday each week.

Duties involve the care of a (nearly) 2 year old with a tracheostomy, so paediatric and trache experience are essential. You must possess adequate previous exposure to acute care nursing, in a hospital or community nursing setting (aged care experience does not apply).

Preference will be given to those that have indefinite availability with no clinical placement or other commitments so that uninterrupted continuity of care can be provided, although this may not discount a nursing undergraduate with the applicable skills and experience.

Essential requirements:

• Must have a current work visa and work rights in Australia
• 100% compliance with NSW Health's immunisation policy, including double Covid vaccinations
• Experience in an acute nursing care setting
• NSW Working with Children Check (paid employee version) and National Police Check or NDISWC
• Regular availability
• Available to start within 2-4 weeks
