About Brainwave Bikes

With the support of Mercedes-Benz Australia, Brainwave has established Brainwave Bikes, a social enterprise that receives, refurbishes, and sells donated used bikes, especially children’s bikes. We operate out of a 750sqm showroom in Dingley Village, near Moorabbin DFO, with a target to sell at least 5,000 bikes per year. 

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of the Partnerships Manager is to identify and build relationships and partnerships with stakeholders of Brainwave Bikes – companies, schools, local government, volunteer groups, circular economy agencies, including current partners – Mercedes Benz, 99 Bikes, Good Cycles and local councils – as well as develop and coordinate programs with stakeholders.

role responsibilities

Development 

  • Map and identify potential partners with the Brainwave Bikes Manager and advisory committee members
  • Identify and build contacts with the Brainwave team and Board 
  • Design and develop partnership activities and programs with stakeholders

Partner Management 

  • Understand the needs of partners and document the objectives and outcomes of the partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners 
  • Represent Brainwave Bikes to partners, including presentations to staff

Volunteer Coordination 

  • Identify and engage corporates and community groups for volunteers
  • Coordinate volunteer engagement with corporates

Program Coordination

  • Coordinate the partner activities, ensuring timely responses and the objectives are met
  • Ensure data recording in Salesforce is up to date
  • Take part in fundraising activities for Brainwave bikes

Reporting 

  • Produce analysis and reports as required
