This part time position provides counselling to children, young people and their families who have experienced, or maybe at risk of child sexual assault.

The ideal candidate will have several years' experience in trauma counselling and be proficient in individual counselling and family support, in addition to a sound understanding of the effects of child sexual assault on individual, family, interpersonal, and societal levels. Candidates need to possess a qualification in psychology, counselling, allied health or social work and a registration and/or membership with a governing body of profession (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, Australian Counselling Association or the Australian Association of Social Work).
Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills, as well as exceptional organisational and Microsoft office skills are essential to this role. A demonstrated understanding of child protection legislation relevant to service delivery is required.
New no card, no start rules means that you are required to have a current Worker Screening test and Blue Card to commence employment at Bravehearts in Queensland. In addition a National Criminal Check is a requirement.
