ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is a contract role - 6 months, is part time ( 3 days per week) and will be based out of our Haymarket Office. The Housing Support Coordinator reports to our Manager, Partnership and Support Coordination and is responsible for providing specialist advice and support service brokerage, for clients with complex support and housing needs. This is achieved through the development and coordination of partnership agreements with key support agencies, participating in the development of case management plans for clients with complex needs and developing policies and procedures to better deliver tenancy sustainability for Bridge Housing tenants.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Continually improving service levels by monitoring Bridge Housing partnerships, including their impact on client outcomes, tenancy outcomes, partnership gaps and refinements to the MOU process.
  • Improve the level of support delivered to tenants and sustainability of tenancies by providing time-limited intensive tenancy management assistance to Housing Managers with complex and vulnerable clients.
  • Improve the quality and professionalism of support provided to complex needs clients by developing and implementing tools, policies and procedures to support effective tenancy management.
  • Provide specialist internal advice to staff on referral pathways for clients experiencing complexity including mental health, domestic violence, trauma, hoarding & squalor etc.
  • Provide specialist training on housing and support partnerships and emerging issues and practice.

PLEASE RESPOND TO THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL CRITERIA IN YOUR APPLICATION LETTER:

  • Degree or relevant experience in social work or relevant discipline
  • NSW Driver's license
  • Knowledge of social housing and the homelessness, health and welfare service system in NSW
  • Ability to travel to our Goulburn Street Office as required.
  • Your experience in managing compliance to policy and procedure

Salary and Classification:

This role is classified as a Level 5 within the Social Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. The salary for the role is $93,336 - $97,560 + Super + Salary Packaging.
