This is the Barkly Region. Our large geographic area of 323,000 km2 is home to a number of stunning and diverse natural landscapes including the town of Tennant Creek and Elliott along with a number of remote communities.

At the Backbone, we're helping support a new way of working in the Barkly; with all different organisations and sectors in the community coming together to help bring about positive changes in the community. In order to grow and do this work well, we need a Senior Project Officer to join the Barkly Regional Backbone team. That's where you come in!

You will love this opportunity to apply your knowledge to a unique environment, as you:

• Help facilitate the Barkly Regional Deal Backbone Team's implementation of the 28 Initiatives under the Barkly Regional Deal which fall into the three categories of Economic Development, Social Development, and Culture and Place-Making.
• Build stronger partnerships between services the community in the Barkly region utilising a collective impact approach to leadership and collaboration.
• Undertake a lead role working with the Barkly Regional Deal Backbone Executive Officer and other staff to support the Barkly Regional Deal Governance Table, Aboriginal Alliance and Working Groups across the Barkly Region.
• Deliver high-level secretariat, stakeholder and regional and remote Aboriginal community engagement, project management, and reporting functions.
