We’re looking for a professional Early Years Coordinator with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a 12 month maximum term full-time basis, working 38 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

 THE ROLE

This role will operate under the Practice Framework for Children’s Programs with a focus is to provide effective Early Years support programs and activities within a place based approach. This position delivers a range of group based programs, one on one engagement activities both on site and in the family home, and key interactions to enable access to the right interventions for the family based on needs. 

  • Coordinate the Early Years Programs (Playgroups, Home Visits, FLSP, Parenting Program and activities) 
  • Delivery of key parenting groups and children outcome focused sessions that has been scheduled by the Program Manager and aligned to key outcomes 
  • Participate in the planning sessions for groups and contribute to the development of the program content to deliver on sites
  • Provide parent capacity building and coaching supports to parents by working towards a developed plan to help achieve their personal goals and child’s learning and development needs
  • Employee Management and Accountability
  • Participation in supervision and team development opportunities
  • Highlight Community Engagement opportunities available and work with Strategic Partnerships team to facilitate community sessions

Salary will be in the range of $74,531.95 - $80,194.32 per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for an who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Experience in customer facing environments that support or provide services to the community
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement continual service improvements
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication and demonstrated ability to liaise and build collaborative positive working relationships with individuals, children, families and service providers
  • People who are comfortable working with a high level of independence and ability to manage change
  • People with a positive and solution focused mindset
  • People with tertiary qualifications and / or experience in the disability and early childhood sector and/or lived experience of disability
  • People with demonstrated excellent report writing skills
  • Highly-developed administration, computer skills and competency in Microsoft Program
