We’re looking for a professional Early Years Practitioner with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a permanent part-time basis, working 22.8 hours per week based in Mernda.

THE ROLE

The Early Years Practitioner will operate under the Practice Framework for Children’s Programs. Our focus is to provide effective Early Years support activities within a place-based approach. This position delivers a range of group-based programs, one on one engagement activities both on site and in the family home, and key interactions to enable access to the right interventions for the family based on needs.

• Delivery of key parenting groups and children outcome focussed sessions that has been scheduled by the Program Manager and aligned to key outcomes
• Support connection building to universal and targeted services available for the family
• Highlight Community Engagement opportunities available and work with Strategic Partnerships team to facilitate community sessions

Salary will in the range of $74,531.95 to $80,194.32 pro rata per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

• To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for an who has the following key skills and experiences:
• Relevant qualifications in Community and Children’s Services, Social Work and Social Sciences or similar
• Demonstrated experience in community services, not for profit organisations, and children’s services
• Relevant experience in knowledge of child focused program delivery, parenting engagement and stakeholder engagement
• Experience and knowledge of Early Years Services and Children’s Practice Frameworks
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people from diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems and make appropriate recommendations
• Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan workload, prioritise and meet deadlines
• Competency in Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood
