We’re looking for a Lead - Evaluation & Evidence with relevant experience to join the BSL’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team on a permanent full-time basis, based in Fitzroy.

The MEL team is situated within the BSL’s Social Policy and Research Centre (SPARC), which is the longest running and largest social policy research centre in a non-government community sector organisation in Australia. The MEL team integrates diverse expertise to build monitoring, evaluation and learning systems that enable reflection, adaptation, and impact. We are seeking a Lead - Evaluation & Evidence to advise our researchers and service managers on the rigorous design and analysis of evaluations of our service models and systemic change initiatives. The role will also contribute to the development of an organisational evaluation framework and implement it in projects across the BSL’s diverse service, research & policy portfolios. This will involve working closely with service managers and researchers to build their capability to strategically commission, design and conduct high quality evaluations.
To achieve this, the Lead will build strong working relationships with portfolio leads, service managers, practitioners, researchers, and policy analysts - leveraging their expertise and building their capacity -to plan, undertake or oversee evaluations and service reviews that reflect the diverse goals, needs and capabilities of our services.
The Lead will contribute to cultivating an active learning culture across the BSL where we routinely distil and engage with evidence to adjust, enhance and scale our service models and initiatives.
This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week. Salary will be in the range of $100,750.11 - $104,959.39 per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.
Attractive salary packaging provisions are available to increase take home pay.
