We are currently seeking an ETL Developer to join our Information Management Framework (IMF) team at BreastScreen Victoria. This full-time role is offered on a fixed term contract for 6 months.

About the role:

Reporting to the Reporting Platform Delivery Lead of the Information Management project, this multi-faceted role will involve designing, development and testing of ETL processes to support the data required for reporting within our organisation. The majority of the role will include working with specifications (data models, mapping and ETL standard templates) to develop ETL jobs and stored procedures to populate our data warehouse.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop and document ETL jobs and procedures per the framework
  • Test, document results and remediate any issues identified with ETL jobs
  • Implement ETL jobs per deployment plans
  • Review and provide input into data models to be implemented in the data warehouse as required
  • Provide input into planning and scheduling of tasks related to ETL design, development, testing and deployment
  • Liaise with team members, subject matter experts and data owners and other affected stakeholders regarding data processes and data quality

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • An understanding of Information Management and the application of data warehousing practices to support reporting and analytics
  • Familiarity with data management practices and SDLC and technical skills in ETL development and SQL processes
  • The ability to work both autonomously and within a team
  • The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
