Accounts and Administration Officer

Burnie Brae currently has an opportunity for a full-time Accounts and Administration Officer to join our Accounts team in Chermside, Brisbane. 

Our Accounts team oversees all financial aspects of our organisation including accounts payable, receivable and payroll. This role will have a particular focus on the accounts payable and receivable functions. Burnie Brae is a diverse organisation with many facets from offering government funded aged care services to our members centre which includes a hairdresser, café, gym and travel agent (just to mention a few!). 

The daily duties of this role would include:

  • Prepare and process receipts, invoices, direct debits, credit card purchases and purchase orders and create customer/supplier master files
  • Complete bank account reconciliations
  • Perform over the phone payments for customers
  • Monitor and action all general requests or queries from customers and suppliers
  • Ensure all information is recorded and maintained accurately in the accounts database
  • Undertake administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, checking the mail and stationery ordering
  • Facilitate monthly and fortnightly payment runs and reporting

We are looking for someone who enjoys job variety to work well in our diverse organisation. You will also need to have excellent communication skills that are adaptable when collaborating with all departments of Burnie Brae. The Accounts team is upbeat and bubbly so we are looking for someone with a friendly and open demeanour.
