We are seeking a friendly, client-focused Senior Exercise Physiologist to join the Healthy Connections team at Burnie Brae on a full-time basis.

Our Exercise Physiologists provide services that play an integral role in the health and wellbeing of our valued clients which range from healthy populations to clients funded by MyAgedCare, DVA and NDIS. Your role will include delivery of exercise based interventions for clients with multiple pathologies and conditions. This role offers great variety as we have a varied client base and also offers great autonomy in managing your own case load.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering clinical services
  • Conducting initial client assessments to understand client medical history and establish goals
  • Develop targeted programs that assist clients to meet their health and wellness goals safely
  • Modify client programs as needed and ensure client records are up to date and accurate
  • Regularly and proactively monitor and check in on client progress and health changes
  • Facilitate fitness classes and specialised group sessions as required
  • Mentoring and supervision of students on placement

The successful applicant will have a great personality and be a real team player. You will also have extensive experience providing clinical services and exercise prescription. You must be a great communicator and be willing to adapt We are looking for someone who is passionate to work with our clientele in achieving their best outcomes.

To catch our eye, you will have:

  • Experience in a similar role (3-6 years)
  • An interest in Pilates (either Mat or Reformer)
  • Experience with NDIS and Aged Care Clients
  • Experience delivering group-based services
  • Experience supervising student Exercise Physiologists

You also need the following:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Exercise Physiology
  • Current Accreditation with ESSA as an Exercise Physiologist
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current Personal Indemnity Insurance
  • Current Drivers License
  • Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening (or willing to obtain)
