Challenges Abroad Australia offers a range of exciting student led challenge trips that provide our participants with the opportunity to see the world while making a difference to disadvantaged communities overseas. We select students to become Challenge Leaders, provide them with essential skills through a series of training and development sessions and empower them to build and lead a team of fellow students on an overseas challenge.

Our aim is to excel in creating innovative overseas programs that are mutually beneficial to both the community and our volunteers and to become known across Australia as the organisation of choice for responsible overseas volunteering. To help us grow we are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and committed individual to join our Australia team. This role offers a lot of responsibility and the opportunity to develop personally and professionally, as well as amazing opportunities to travel overseas to see our programs first hand!

So what will you be doing?

You will be responsible for recruiting Challenge Leaders and working with them to build a team. You will provide Challenge Leaders support in recruiting and managing their team, as well as ensuring participants are able to access any funds available from their university wherever applicable.

You could be based anywhere in Australia but will be required to travel around Australia reaching out to and meeting students at universities as well as looking for ways to promote our programs on campus or online. Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop marketing plans to meet set targets
  • Increase the brand presence using social media, posters, flyers etc.
  • Keep on top of developments in the industry
  • Provide input for new product developments to continue to grow
  • Build and engage an online community of past, present and future participants.

What skills and experience you will need?

You will be an outgoing individual, with a high degree of energy and enthusiasm that you are able to transmit to others and inspire them to volunteer overseas. We would expect you to have:

  • Previous experience of promoting products to students
  • Personal experience of travelling and volunteering overseas
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to create and deliver engaging presentations
  • Previous experience in designing marketing material and online promotions would be extremely desirable and useful in this role

What will you earn?

We are offering a competitive remuneration package with an OTE of $75,000 having a base salary between $50,000-$60,000 depending upon Individual’s previous experience. This will also include an annual overseas trip to our program locations.

Challenges Abroad Australia (CAA) provides students and young professionals with short term overseas programs that take them outside their comfort zone, providing opportunities for them to experience a different culture while supporting local communities. We currently have programs in 6 countries across 3 continents and aim to expand this in the coming years.

At the heart of CAA is the FutureSense Foundation, a registered UK charity (Charity No. 1132101). FSF partners and works alongside local non-profit and community organisation's, with the main focuses being education, health and livelihoods support. We support the work of FSF by providing the human power to volunteer on their community development projects in some of the most disadvantaged regions of the world.
