About the Corporation

Central Australian Aboriginal Alcohol Programmes Unit (CAAAPU) is an Aboriginal community-controlled corporation that provides Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Residential Rehabilitation Services to the Central Australian community and is based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.

Established in 1991 our corporation aims to assist in reducing the harmful effects of alcohol and other drugs among Aboriginal people, through a process of supporting social, physical, spiritual, emotional, vocational and cultural well-being.

About the role

CAAAPU is seeking a new Treatment Manager. Reporting to the CEO, the Treatment Manager is responsible for the delivery of quality residential and outreach rehabilitation treatment services to the highest standard, for CAAAPU clients with alcohol and other drug related issues.

The Treatment Manager will play a key role in researching, planning, coordinating and managing the delivery of treatment programs and will strive to build a safe and effective healing place, that equips Aboriginal peoples with the tools to lead healthy, sober and productive lifestyles.

The Treatment Manager will possess a high-level knowledge of models of care for dealing with persons affected by Alcohol and Other Drugs, including evidence-based treatments and will have completed appropriate qualifications in the area.

The Treatment Manager will provide clinical and organisational supervision to Senior AOD Workers and Care Workers, and provide high quality care and treatment for clients throughout their engagement in CAAAPU programs.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • Working With Children Card
  • National Police Check (no more than 3 months old)
  • Drivers Licence
  • First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain one)
