About the role

This is a technical leadership role that will support the Team Leader Intake and Placement Support and the practitioners within the team. The Advanced Practitioner will hold a small reunification caseload and work closely with the team leader to ensure a focus on continuous improvement to the intake, placement support and reunification, where applicable, of children and young people who are temporarily unable to live with their birth parents.

  • Has an unwavering commitment to the safety of children and young people
  • Has proven experience in high quality case management
  • Understands that the environment for children to thrive is connected to safety, stability and great quality relationships with their Carers
  • Is experienced in developing and maintaining operational processes and procedures
  • Is an exceptional communicator who understands the value of connected relationships
  • Has demonstrated skills in Supervision
  • Has excellent organisation and time management skills

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Welfare Studies, Community Service or related discipline.
