About the role

Thinking about what’s next after your studies? What if your new job was helping families affected by family violence? Cafs is taking applications for the Family Violence and Sexual Assault Graduate program 2022 for a Step Up - Adolescent Violence in the Home Practitioner. The Adolescent Violence in the Home Practitioner provides Intensive case management for the young person, incorporating a comprehensive safety and wellbeing assessment, the development of a care plan and therapeutic intervention, both individual and family-based. The Adolescent Violence in the Home Graduate also conducts group work that uses concurrent adolescent and parent group sessions to strengthen the parent-adolescent relationship through skills development in areas including respectful communication and assertive parenting. The Step Up program aims to reduce the incidences of violence used by the adolescent and increase the safety of impacted family members.

Family Violence and sexual assault graduate program 2022

This role is part of the 2022 Family Violence and Sexual Assault Graduate Program.

In addition to state-wide learning and networking opportunities, graduates are supported by a dedicated Learning and Development Facilitator and have access to learning and development opportunities with other graduates throughout the year. This includes an induction session at the commencement of the Program and monthly community of practice sessions. Graduates also have access to a funding allocation to support their ongoing learning and development over a 12-month period.

To meet the eligibility requirements for the 2022 Family Violence and Sexual Assault Graduate Program, graduates must have completed all course requirements (or will do so before commencing in the Program) or have completed their qualifications within the last two years.
