Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a Brief Interventions Counsellor in ur Family and Community Programs Team  

The successful applicant will have:

• Tertiary Qualification in social work, psychology, or other relevant area of study 
• Demonstrated ability to conduct a dual diagnosis assessment and provision of evidence based treatment options relating to AOD
• High level of engagement skills to link individual and families who experience in barriers to accessing services
• Experience in the provision of secondary consultations
• Demonstrated experience in delivering community based interventions for reducing alcohol and drug related harm
• A demonstrated commitment to team work 
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Victorian Police Check and complete a Statutory Declaration as per the Aged Care Principles prior to commencement of employment. Some positions will also require a WWC Check.
