Caraniche is establishing a business intelligence function and has engaged a consultancy firm to support in the development of a Data Strategy and the establishment of a technical roadmap to drive the delivery of effective clinical and business outcomes. This is a fixed term role to support the internal business requirements during a time of increased activity. Reporting directly to the Acting Business Solutions Manager, your main tasks will include performing requirements analysis, documenting processes, and liaising with internal stakeholders from across the business. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

The focus of the role:

PROCESS MAPPING, DESIGN & DOCUMENTATION

  • Assist in the development of key process documentation to inform current and future state analysis.

BUSINESS NEED ANALYSIS

  • Liaise with key SME or business owners to understand data, reporting and technical requirements for business areas.
  • Conduct workshops with key stakeholders and end users to understand business requirements and engage business areas in a change process.

VENDOR & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  • Assist where relevant to key activities related to the implementation of the Data Strategy, ensuring whole of business approach.
  • Working with vendors and internal teams, synthesize information from different perspectives and sources to propose recommendations for systems and reporting architecture.
  • Work with stakeholders, including business units, technical teams and vendors to ensure requirements are understood and implemented appropriately.
  • Provide recommendation to Executive Leadership.

SYSTEMS & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Review and scope technical requirements for a replacement clinical system.
  • Assist with business case development.
  • Analyse and document technical solution requirements.
  • Evaluate vendor products and solutions where required.

DATA GOVERNANCE, DATA QUALITY, DATA MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure all recommended processes and actions are conducted from the understanding of Caraniche’s data governance requirements and with appropriate data management practices.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

  • Inform on matters (data, systems, integration, process) relevant to their role and function as it pertains to longer term operational planning.

ESSENTIAL

  • Bachelor degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years as a Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team delivering a range of services and to be an independent and autonomous contributor, where necessary
  • Demonstrable experience in working with data and reporting requirements.
  • Advance level of proficiency in:
    • Business process mapping & design.
    • Requirements gathering and analysis.
    • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to self-start and self-manage to project deadlines.
  • Proven experience in Change Management.
  • Demonstrable expertise on Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Management.

DESIRABLE

  • Proven experience in managing multiple stakeholders both internally and externally to the role.
  • Experience in health and/or justice environments desirable, but not essential.
