Our Role:

Beechworth Correctional Centre (low security / prison farm) requires a psychologist or social worker for 0.6 role. This role includes individual counselling and group work experience in the AOD area.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a dynamic, highly skilled Clinician (Psychologist or Social Worker) who is excited about being part of our prison forensic services team and playing an integral part in the delivery of forensic Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services at Beechworth Prison based in Beechworth in country Victoria.

The position

The position is offered as a fixed term contract to 30 June 2023, with possibility of extension if funding allows. The role is based at Beechworth Prison and can be offered as a part time or full time fixed term role.

The key purpose of the position is to provide psychological assessments, individual counselling, group therapy, orientation of new prisoners, as well as the delivery of AOD programs for male offenders. Beechworth Correctional Centre is a low security prison, housing men who are coming towards the end of their sentence.
