About the Role

Cardno ID seeks a Business Development Coordinator who will support the Strategic Engagement and Partnerships team on various bids. As a key member of Cardno ID’s Strategic Engagement and Partnerships (SEP) Team, the BD Coordinator will provide high quality administrative support for all key steps across the tender cycle. With support and oversight from a BD Manager, this role will manage all elements of the planning and preparation of smaller value tender opportunities, and/or select management and technical contributions to larger-value tender opportunities.

Duties will include:

  • Working closely with the SEP team to anticipate and plan for recruitment activities for upcoming opportunities and, overseen / advised by the BD Senior Manager or Manager, negotiate terms and conditions with preferred candidates, ensuring value for money and compliance with Cardno and client requirements.
  • Prepare all business development related contracts and agreements for individuals and organisations, including Letters of Engagement, Pre-Bid Agreements, Provision for Service Agreements and other related documents, as required.
  • Work with the BD management team to prepare a bid schedule that captures all necessary EOI / tender requirements, and assign resources and responsibilities to ensure we can deliver against timelines and responsibilities. Work with the Bid Manager to ensure bid teams are coordinating workloads and producing high quality results within designated timeframes and ensure our bidding efforts effectively respond to client requirements.
  • Coordinate for each assigned tender the legal /t ax review, compliance, recruitment, tender writing, costings, desk-top publishing, reviews and necessary approvals for submission
  • Provide targeted inputs into proposals, including RFT / Cardno compliance documentation, ensure all bids comply with the Cardno Quality Management System (QMS) through revision and updating of document templates.
  • Manage all tender-related documentation and correspondence.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in SEP team systems and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our work.

About You

The successful candidate will present with a high level of interpersonal skills and excellent organisational and time management skills. S / he must be willing to take on a variety of tasks that may be required to ensure efficient operation of the business units and has the ability to interpret and apply policies, requirements and procedures and use of corporate systems. At least 3-5 years of professional working experience in a relevant sector.
