Cardno International Development is seeking expressions of interest for a dynamic individual to oversee the recruitment cycle, and establish and implement the deployment process of technical advisers to the Pacific region.

The Recruitment & Deployee Support Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the recruitment and deployments of personnel, working closely with focal points within Cardno and DFAT.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of procedures and oversee the full-cycle including: development of fit-for-purpose Terms of Reference, leading end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, and ensuring due diligence and compliance requirements are met.
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders, including partner governments and DFAT, to ensure effective and dynamic recruitment solutions are provided.
  • Develop and drive proactive sourcing and networking initiatives to attract and develop a robust pipeline of talent. This includes drawing on extensive local networks and connections, in addition to standard outreach channels, to source and attract a diverse range of national and international applications, including from women and people with a disability.
  • Implement recruitment systems, policies, procedures, tools and templates to ensure streamlined, effective, and high-quality services are delivered with regular recruitment metrics, reporting on progress on a monthly and six-monthly basis, and document management.
  • Develop Security Plans for each country and regularly the monitor security situation in collaboration with the in-country Partnership Officers and Cardno’s Security Manager.
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative data and analysis for development of Recruitment Strategy, reports, as well as key communication products, in a timely manner and to a professional standard.
  • Provide deployee support collaboratively with in-country Partnership Officers as required to short- and long-term advisers contracted

To be successful in this role, you will present with the following key attributes:

  • Qualifications in recruitment, human resources management, operations or equivalent
  • Experience overseeing all aspects of Human Resource Management, including recruitment strategy development, selection and interviews, staff mobilisation, and performance management.
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to identify global and regional professional sources for candidates and to build this into a Recruitment Plans/strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal English language skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to meet management deadlines.
  • Ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience working for a donor funded activity or in an international development context (desirable)
