About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a National Communications Manager to join our Marketing & Business Development team on a permanent full-time basis. This role is vital to the success of our organisation as we continue to grow and position ourselves as an in-home aged care provider of choice in an increasingly client-driven market.

Reporting to the GM – Marketing & Business Development, you will take the lead on all components of the communication plan, and oversee the overall brand image and tone, by:

  • Developing and delivering marketing and business communications and content to support client experience, client acquisition and retention strategies, as well as staff and external stakeholders
  • Developing and implementing an innovative communications strategy aimed at raising and maintaining a positive brand profile
  • Developing and implementing the organisations’ digital strategy including website, secure portals, social media, and communication through both CRM (Hubspot) and email marketing (Mailchimp) platforms – with the support of external agencies
  • Fostering media relationships, identifying editorial and advertising opportunities and working with creative agencies to implement both paid and earned campaigns
  • Identifying opportunities and helping to implement community events and activities.

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior marketing communications/PR role
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills and the capacity to generate content for use across diverse audiences and channels
  • A proven track record in successful development, delivery and evaluation of strategic multi-channel campaigns including direct marketing, web, social and earned and paid media - both independently and with the support of a specialist agency
  • Excellent strategic thinking, creativity and ability to problem-solve
  • Highly developed relationship management and influencing skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. A working knowledge of email marketing and exposure and/or ability and confidence to acquire skills for in-house client database systems. Familiarity with WordPress/Website development
  • The ability to work with set KPIs and achieve targets.

Prior experience in the not-for-profit or health sector is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications required for the role:

  • Bachelor level in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing

  • You must be eligible to work in Australia to be considered for this position. Employment is conditional upon screening checks throughout employment
  • All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory National Police Check conducted by Care Connect and a valid Working with Children Check provided by the applicant, as requested
  • A statutory declaration is required, confirming residency in a country other than Australia - depending on the information provided, an international police check/s may also be required
  • Part of our selection process requires the completion of psychometric assessments and a case study.
