Program Lead - Care2Prepare

Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. It is a member of the national Network of Carers Associations and has an exclusive focus on supporting and advocating for all carers in the state.

As the Program Lead, you will be responsible for delivery of the Care2Prepare program for Carers NSW. This project aims to reduce the impact of floods and bushfires on people with disability, older people, people living with a health condition or mental illness, and their family and friend carers in the Central Coast, Shoalhaven and Gunnedah local government areas (LGAs).

This opportunity will appeal to you if you have an obligation to the community and a passion for helping people. You will be proactive in establishing relationships with communities (networking) and be comfortable and confident approaching and talking to people. Your communication style will be adaptable across a diverse range of community groups.

To be successful, you must have the following essential criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications in Health/Social Sciences, or Business Project Management.
  • Demonstrated consultation, planning, community engagement and group facilitation skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively negotiate and liaise with a wide cross section of people, including internal staff, partners, service providers and the wider community
  • Ability to apply risk management techniques to program deliverables, identifying and addressing areas of concern or potential delays in milestone achievement
  • Demonstrated experience in creation of operational procedures and resources
  • Strong computer, administration and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver high quality progress reports
  • Current NSW drivers licence and the capacity to travel when required

The Salary Package is between $93 - 98K + super and salary sacrificing benefits and training and development opportunities.

A criminal record check and a working with children check will be required as a condition of employment.
