Project Officer - Carer Gateway

Carers NSW is the peak body in NSW for carers of all ages and circumstances. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting with and empowering carers, improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice.

The Project Officer is responsible for identifying and developing new and innovative Carer Gateway service and resource projects in response to the needs of carers.

With your exceptional interpersonal skills you will liaise with a wide cross section of people, including internal staff, partners, service providers and the wider community. You will develop a strong understanding of the Carer Gateway to provide a project review and create innovative improvements to the service we provide to carers. This position is a full-time contract role based in our office in North Sydney till June 2023.

As the successful applicant, you will possess the following Essential Criteria:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health/Social Sciences, Business Project Management and/or suitably recognised qualifications.
• Relevant experience and/or understanding of Community Services Sector
• Ability to apply risk management techniques to project deliverables, identifying and addressing areas of concern or potential delays in milestone achievement
• Demonstrated experience in creation of operational procedures, frameworks and reports
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively negotiate and liaise with a wide cross section of people, including internal staff, partners, service providers and the wider community
