Mealtime is the highlight of the day for many of our residents. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef who will aim to provide healthy and nutritious meals, create an enjoyable dining experience.

As the Chef, you will report directly to the Residential Manager and be responsible for creating and providing fresh, high-quality meals for Carinity residents. You will also be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen and dining rooms, including supervising staff to ensure smooth operations. In this role you will also have daily interactions with both residents and their families.

What do I need for the role?

  • Cert IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in large volume food production, preferably cook-chill.
  • Knowledge of and experience in preparing texture modified diets.
  • Understanding of aged care legislation and Accreditation standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with the elderly, staff and management
  • Previous experience Aged Care / Hospital Kitchens is desirable

Carinity Aged Care – Karinya Place is situated in Laidley, which is approximately a 40-minute drive from Ipswich and Toowoomba, located conveniently close to shops, the hospital, and other services.
